Katie Burn (1872 - 1923) married Edward Ferguson in 1904. It seems they didn't have any children.
Katie is mentioned in some news articles in relation to attending events held by her older sister Hilda Morres. Like her sisters, Katie became a Nurse. She worked for a time as a Midwife in the small country town of Poowong, Victoria. She also worked in Traralgon.
In early 1904 she is mentioned in a newspaper article about operating a private hospital in Caufield, a suburb of Melbourne. Katie continued to operate her hospital, which was also a Nurse's home unregistered. She applied for registration but it was refused after one of her mental health patients left the hospital and caused damage to public property. Council was particularly unhappy with the type of patients Katie had in her hospital.
In 1906 Katie had further issues with Caufield Council, after the Victoria Health Board gave her registration after the Council disagreed.
She died in St Kilda, Melbourne in September 1923 aged 51.
