In 1826 she married Thomas Hemsley (1798- ?) at Aldgate Church. Fanny is referred to in an 1826 letter from William to John Childs. Thomas was said to be an optician and a mathematical instrument maker. Thomas was the son of Thomas Hemsley Senior and Elizabeth Seaton. He was born in Newington Butts, Surrey. Thomas's family had been old friends of the Hone's.
According to author Timothy Larsen, in his work 'Crisis of Doubt: Honest Faith in Nineteenth-Century England', Fanny, Thomas and three of their children joined the Weigh House church congregation, of which William and Sarah were members, in 1834. By 1840 they were all members of the Tottenham Baptist Church. Fanny's sons Thomas and William (Willy) were referred to in a letter their aunt Sarah Burn wrote regarding who had attended her father's funeral.

In the 1871 Census, Thomas Jnr is listed as a Nautical Instrument Maker. He is 43 and living with him on Census day was his mother Fanny aged 67, his daughter Jessie aged 17, son Henry aged 14, daughters Margaret (8), Kate (6) and Edith (3). His wife Jessie had died two years earlier. It was listed that Thomas had two servants, Ellen Whipp and Amelia Howard.
