Alice Charlotte Burn and David Williams

Alice Charlotte Burn was born in Gippsland in 1862 and died in 1942. In 1883 Alice married David Evan Williams. Together they had five children.

1. Mary Constance (1884 -?)

2. Arthur Allan Gordon (1885 - 1962)

3. Evan Jenkins (1887 - ?) Evan fought in World War 1.

4. Albert Edward (1889 - 1917) Albert died in World War 1.

5. Lillian Emma (1891 - ?) married Edward G Mills in 1909.

David's family was from Leneva, Victoria near the NSW border. His father was Evan Williams and owned a property called Newington Farm. A 1905 newspaper article states that David sold most of 210 acre property as the family was in the process of moving to Ewylamartup near Katanning in Western Australia. Alice and David's farm was called "Glenroy".

Unfortunately David died in 1917 from a self inflicted wound. Sadly Alice and David's son Albert would die in Belgium during World War 1. Two of his Burn cousins also died in the same war.
